Options -fix must be specified only ONE TIME, when you restore your database at 2.5 from previous versions backups, and moreover, only if you have ERROR during restore without -fix options. AJ> Why wouldn't I use the same restore command each time I fetch a new backup? because, as I said, -fix options are special options to fix incorrect encoding of data and metadata, that could happen in previous FB versions. AJ> Any advice on improvements of the command is most welcome. -rep is a nice option, that kills existing db. I suggest not to get used to it, because sometimes bad things can happen. -c is the most correct option for restore. -- Dmitry Kuzmenko, www.ib-aid.com
