Hi guys Our system used to do a force users off and do a nightly backup/restore. Seems that when our IT moved to offsite continuous data warehousing, the backup/restore caused a significant increase in the data being warehoused and so they stopped doing it. 2^31 (0x7FFFFFFF) might be big but restoring a day old database from the warehouse showed transaction numbers only a 1000 or so below that.
A backup/restore fixed that and shrunk the database. will need to get it scheduled again, even if not nightly. Why it caused the server memory problem is another issue.
