I remember that with IB 2007 the user no longer > owned the database. It was root. Firebird is based on the IB v6.0 code base released by Borland/Inprise... IB 2007 is a later closed source release. What Firebird release/version # and version of the engine (Classic, SuperServer, SuperClassic or Embedded) are you trying to access? Sean
