as Lester already pointed out: to access a Firebird database from .NET you need to install and use the Firebird .NET Provider. Try its latest version: "NETProvider-3.0.2.0.msi". For questions about .NET / ASP you should use the .NET Provider mailing list. On this page: http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/mailing-lists/ search for "Firebird .NET driver" and click "Subscribe directly".
