I have a legacy client that was running fine on XP with FB 1.5 but we've recently switched the PC out for a Win7 Pro 64 bit system.
In order to get the client running on the Win7 system I installed FB 2.5 on it and used gbak on the new system to restore the database file as a 2.5 version (it was saved earlier on the 1.5 system using gbak as well). The client seems to be running fine on the new system for the most part except when I try to run a few internal reports where I get te following error from the client... General SQL error. Column known. MyTable.MyField I checked the table structure in both versions using FlameRobin and they both looked the same and MyField exists in both tables. Are there any incompatibilities between the 1.5 and 2.5 formats that would cause this ? Unfortunately, I don't have access to the client code so its a bit of a shot in the dark but any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks,
