Don't know if it helps, but the datatype DATE in Dialect 1 should be similar to TIMESTAMP in Dialect 3. I'm uncertain whether TIMESTAMP is a valid datatype in Dialect 1 or not. DATE in Dialect 3 only contains the date part, and should not be confused with DATE in Dialect 1. See http://www.firebirdsql.org/manual/isql-dialects.html for a bit more information. HTH, Set
