Hello! I have a problem with FireBird server host connection timeout on client side.
I have a setup on linux platform (rh 61) on both sides, fb client version 2.5.1.26351-0.amd64, fb server version 2.5.2.26540-0.amd64 Server host is unreachable, and FB client gets an error after 44 seconds everytime. I need decrease waiting time for a client, I'd like client to wait 10 seconds instead of 44 seconds. I set ConnectionTimeout = 10 in firebird.conf, but it doesn't resolve my problem. Client still waits for 44 seconds. I could only decrease timeout to 20 seconds by linux core TCP SYN settings, but this is not really acceptable because of whole system affecting. Is it possible to set connection timeout on client side? Please, help! Thanks in advance! Yury Mitrofanov
