Before step you need to press [Esc] to return to command mode.

You shouldn't quit the terminal yet, you still need to do (in the 
terminal window:

chmod 777 remove.sh [Enter]
sudo remove.sh [Enter]

This last command may need to be executed as:
sudo ./remove.sh [Enter]
