User login information is used only for granting (or denying) access for security purposes. What this means is that you're not going to corrupt the database or interfere with other connections' work if everybody uses the same login criteria. The problem comes when you actually want to grant (or deny) access to some people and not to others. In that case, you should have different user names for different users, or create classes of user with a single user name and s single set of privileges. Good luck, Ann
