Is there a firebird.conf in the same location as the libfbclient in
question? If so, what is its value of AuthClient, and of WireCrypt?

I also vaguely recall an issue with Firebird 3.0.1 where it would
terminate authentication early in some situations (but I thought that
was server-side, not client-side). You might want to upgrade to Firebird
3.0.3 and check if that works.
