Unstable means just that: new features are still in flux and may change (in potentially breaking(!) ways), it contains bugs, it isn't feature complete, and there is no guarantee that a backup from the beta version will be restorable under the final Firebird 4 release. All in all it isn't ready for production usage. Also be aware that the firebird-support list is only for released versions. Questions about development versions (including betas) should go to the firebird-devel list. Mark
