We're not talking about your Firebird server install, we're talking about client libraries fbclient.dll or gds32.dll, and the version information of that. If you only have a client in C:\Program Files (x86)\Firebird\Firebird_2_5, your application wouldn't normally be able to connect. Check you %WINDIR%\System32 and %WINDIR%\SysWoW64 folders for gds32.dll and fbclient.dll and check their version information. Mark
