Have you reported this to Firefox so they can fix it? If so what is
the bug report number?

Yes, but you won't need disable for <site> unless you set a panel to
"Enable". Firebug 1.2 is disabled by default while Firebug 1.0 was
enable by default. And in any case disable for site has limited power,
you really want "Suspend Firebug" when you want to use gmail.
