The issue tracker is for bugs and enhancements, a perfectly valid place to request features, obviously.
I was more interested in some actual discussion on what people didn't like about the UI as it stands now. The issue tracker isn't really conducive to that level of discussion, imo, as it will get triaged and individual requests might get broken up into several issues.
