Firebug cannot fix crashes, only the Firefox team can to that. Does
not matter that Firebug is the only way to cause it.

I mistyped: with the crash report from >> about:crashes << its often
easy to determine if this is a known problem.  (Not likely with 3.0.4,
I don't know of any crashes).
