Could be a bug. Please try Firebug 1.3b7 http://getfirebug.com/releases.
This version is already for addons.mozilla.org.

If 1.3 still fails, then try 1.4a11, http://getfirebug.com/releases.
This version has the best js debugging ever, but it sometimes
deactivates itself.

If that fails, please attach a test case to a bug report,
http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/list
