Right now, the Firebug (1.2.1) inspect feature is hard-coded to use
the HTML tab. I have written my own module to support viewing custom
objects in some pages that have JavaScript objects tied to the DOM.
Therefore, I would like the ability to, in my panel, have the user
select the DOM element in my panel, not the html one, while inspecting
if my tab is the currently selected one.

Right now I have used a toolbar button that allows me to select the
object in my tab for the HTML tab's selected DOM element, but that is
harder on the user (click inspect, select an element, go to my tab,
click my "Focus Inspected" toolbar button)
