The Firefox profile is a directory that includes your extensions, preferences, bookmarks, and history. The directory is shared by all versions of Firefox and all extensions you load. So once something goes wrong, there is almost nothing extension authors (including Firebug) can do to help you. You can try to disable extensions, reset settings, delete files etc., but who knows if this will work.
Instead, read up on how to move your bookmarks etc over to the new profile and leave the old one behind. For sure don't copy extensions or preferences between profiles. I think you can copy bookmarks, but better to export/import them. jjb On Feb 17, 10:33 am, Djeeg <[email protected]> wrote: > I can't get Firebug to load into my usual firefox profile, even after > doing a clean install this morning, > > but, after creating a new profile, I had no trouble loading firebug > into that version. > > How do I move firebug from one firefox profile to another? > > Or, what is it about my current, default profile that could be holding > things up?
