Could you try Firebug 1.3X.3b3 (with tracing enabled)? http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.3X/
1) From the Firebug menu pick "Open Firebug Tracing" 2) Check ERRORS option in Options tab. 3) See if there are any suspicious error logs.
