You have come up against eBay's security ... they have a script that
blocks active content. This script replaces document.createElement
with a method that will only allow eBay's "official" items to be
created.

There is really nothing we can do about this ... if you really need
Firebug Lite on eBay pages I would suggest taking this up with eBay.
