I don't know what version you are running, but I'm only running Chromebug on FF3.0 until we can get fixes for Firefox so that Firebug 1.4 works on FF3.1. We are in the process of working out how to run our new test suite on nightly builds. That way we can close on Firefox issues faster and be able to use these tools on the edge.
