Hello, First, thanks for making Firebug such a useful tool for hunting bugs and learning JavaScript!
I'm not an expert Firebug user, so my request below may stem simply from my ignorance. I'm using version 1.4X.0a20 with Firefox 3.0.8. I find that I switch constantly between the HTML tab, where I can look up an element's id and other attributes, and the Console tab, where I can run trial commands or scripts which manipulate the element. If it's in view, I can right-click to inspect the element, but this isn't always practical. Is it (or would it be) possible to have a command-line at the bottom of the HTML and other non-Console tabs? In the HTML tab, at least, there seems to be a good place for the larger text editor, and maybe the Console, too, just next to the Style, Layout, and DOM mini-tabs. Another possibility is to have (optional) tooltips appear with useful information about the element under the pointer. Thanks again.
