Hello all. Playing with the latest releases I've noticed a couple of annoyances that might have gone unnoticed until now. I've tested on Firefox 3.0.10 (Windows XP Pro SP3) with a clean profile (no other extension enabled but Firebug). These issues happen with Firebug 1.4.0a21 thru a23 (haven't tested older releases).
1) If I select 'Always Open in New Window' in Options and then close Firebug, clicking on the status bar icon has no effect, Firebug doesn't show up neither in a new window nor in a bottom panel. Rightclicking on 'Reset All Firebug Options' saves the day... 2) I have the latest Notepad++ 5.3.1. Unicode configured as an Editor. When inspecting web pages containing UTF-8 characters (i.e. multibyte), in my case specifically Eastern European stuff, clicking 'Open with Editor' duly sends the page source to it, but multibyte characters are displayed as couples of (incorrect) characters. My best guess is that the source is passed on to the editor in the wrong character set, maybe ISO-8859-1. The original pages are proper UTF-8 without BOM, saved and served as such (charset is declared to be uft-8 both in the HTTP header and in the HTTP-EQUIV META element). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
