this article says click on the white space next to the javascript and
you can edit any variable. i find that you can click on it and it
becomes editable but the changes do not stay. when I press tab for
code suggestions it is more likely to let you change the value but
wont let you put in anything I want only some limited choices. usually
it wont let me change the values at all.

another question since javascript in the header files loads before the
page and only executes one at a time, if i wanted to change javascript
in external files then run the page again. how would i do this. i
dont want to do anything server side all in the browser. I have only
figured out how to edit and run inline javascript.

this seems like a lot to ask but if anything could be answered it
would be appreciated.
