I'm still seeing the same thing in beta 3. And it's not just the top
level or just the DOM tab; it happens for objects logged through the
console, too. Every object (except native ones like Window) is
displayed as if its toString() method simply returns "undefined".

Also, all functions, even those with declared with names and even
built-in DOM methods, are displayed simply as "function()" as if
they're anonymous.
