I understand that in 1.4.0b4, instead of clicking the (X) close box to
hide firebug, but keep it recording for a given URL, I should click
the (_) minimize button. This was confusing (and contentious as I've
seen), but okay, fine.

However, in this new version, firebug doesn't remember that I've
minimized it for a given URL. It always pops back up when I create a
new browser window and navigate back to an enabled URL. This is
really annoying, particularly for bugs that have to do with window
size (I'm using it to debug flash/flex). The fact that firebug takes
up screen space makes it change the app behavior.

I want firebug to be active but also invisible and to *stay that way*
when I open a new window. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks a bunch for making firebug, it's absolutely amazing! I think
the fact that even tiny changes like this make a big difference show
how absolutely essential firebug has become to me! I really like the
new JSON support! It's killer!
