The function you want I guess is now called "minimize". We've discussed this quite a lot. I know the posting here run in favor of the non-standard order for the buttons because they would be similar to 1.3. Others favor the standard order because soon 1.3 will be history and we want to face forward not back.
I can't make a choice that will make everyone happy. So I just have to make one and move on: let's use the standard order. I really think the status bar icon is a better one to learn.
