Yes, Firebug in an external window is now connected to the selected
tab in a Firefox window. So as you select tabs, the external window
will track it; you can't open more than one Firebug external window
per Firefox window.
You can still open one Firebug for every Firefox. So if you want to
cross reference, open the two web pages in separate Firefox windows.
This change was made to simplify the source code.

is disabling CSS rules. That problem was fixed in 1.4b6.
