I have a pretty complex js web application here, and Firebug 1.5.0a16 always give me the "Reload to activate console" message after enabling Firebug and reloading the page (several times).
If I click the Firebug command line, I then get "Firebug cannot find _firebugConsole element true" four times in a row, then once each time I click the command line. This is all in a clean profile. Unfortunately I'm unable to reproduce the problem on a simple test case. I could create a issue and provide jjb a private link if that can be helpful and not a known problem.
