I've seen that message too with the new version, but only after working with Firebug for a while. When that message appears again, Firebug becomes mostly unusable and I have to restart Firefox.
As this is a quite random bug, it's hard to create a test case. If I see it again and I'm able to open the tracing, what tracing options should I look at?
