Did you just click the buttons, or did you make sure to give focus to the flash application first (by clicking somehwere on the blue region) and then clicking the button?
If the flash application does not have focus and you click the button it works. However, if you first give focus to the flash application and then click the button it does not resize correctly. Or, try this: 1) on the left example, click the button. You should enter full screen. Since the flash app was not focused when you clicked the button it should be scaled correctly. 2) press escape to exit full screen. The flash application should now exit full screen, and have focus (there will be a dotted line around the flash application) 3) click the button again.
