I am a huge fan of Firebug, use it constantly. But with the upgrade of Firefox I had to upgrade my firebug and now it's not working the way it used to.
I'm primarily a designer We have a CMS (Typo3) at the same domain as our main site (typo3.ourdomain.com and www.ourdomain.com). So I often have a tab open to the site I am working on and a tab open to the CMS so I can adjust styles etc. I honestly do not need Firebug open on the CMS. Really I'll leave the style and development to the Typo3 guys and it's quite annoying to have it open on the CMS, but if it's open on my site tab, it's open on the CMS tab.... Granted my memory could be going but I don't remember it doing that before. Now it's a constant fight and really annoying. I've finally resorted to opening the CMS in another widow and closing Firebug in that window. BUT if for some reason I call a popup window in the CMS, Voila, firebug is open, even in a new window. I've read a lot of the dissatisfaction of the new UI and if there isn't a way to turn it off for our CMS tab but leave it on for the site tab (remember same domain) than I'm right up there with everyone else. If there is a way to get it to be open for just my site and not the CMS can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks all for all the hard work. We do all appreciate it. We are all just confused now I think. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
