Yes, you lose. To get comparable behavior you have to open two Firefox
windows, each with a Firebug window. We don't test this configuration
much so if you have problems let us know.

The change was a loss of function for some users, or at least some
inconvenience. But the code is so much better now it was important to
make this change.

Well it is true that every improvement we make will have a negative
and positive impact. We cannot make Firebug perfect for everyone.
That's different from setting out to break it for 20% of the users.
