Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but by "crash" do you mean
that Firefox vanishes and you have to restart it? If yes, then do you
get a "crash reporter" dialog that you say ok to? If yes, then open
Firefox and use the URL "about:crashes" and post the URL of the times
that you crash this way.

My number one suggestion is to install Firebug in a new Firefox
profile (not a reinstall, just a new profile)) see
