Hi, FYI, I just checked out rev 4557 and now I'm unable to open firebug window.
I do have 6 menu items, the first is start firebug in a new window (translated from Dutch). Menu | Extra | Firebug doesn't expand to any items. Clicking on the firebug icon or choosing the first menu item doesn't open firebug.
