So the title of the post should read: Firebug keeps on hanging Firefox. A crash an entirely different event, it means the application vanishes. I don't know of any test case showing this effect, and we have specific standard tests we run on continuing and reloading from breakpoints before we release Firebug. The most commonly reported cause for this effect is the use of HTMLValidator.
