When I update FB if new version ready, the FireFox required to
restart. However after restarting the FB icon disappeared from status
bar. Then I look into Tools -> Addons and I see the message kind of
"New addon is installed, you need to restart firefox". When i press
button "Restart Firefox", FF is restarted but condition has no
changes.
After few attempts I cancelled the installation of new version of FB,
and go to the http://getfirebug.com/ for clear version of FB and I
also is about to uninstall existing FB version. After downloading I'd
close FF, go to the my %FF's-profile-folder%\extensions, create new
folder "[email protected]" (if it still exists - delete
it) and unpack contents of firebug-X.X.X.xpi into created folder.
Don't forget that FF's extensions (.xpi) it is just a ZIP-archive
files ;)
Start FF - voila! The FB icon appeared at usual place, version is
updated :)
