If you think Firebug is causing unnecessary memory problems here is what we need to investigate: 1) A complete test case (URL or web page we can run), 2) Install Firebug in a new Firefox profile, 3) Open Firebug, reload the page. Record the memory, 4) Reload the page, record the memory.
