There may be a number of reasons why some pages "eat up more time" than others. For instance — this may or may not apply to you — I recently saw a blog post about some particular ads: http://blog.johnford.info/what-is-wrong-with-atts-flash-ads/ Or it could be a page with particularly many or particularly slow Javascript functions for the onload event.
