This guy has a nice little hack to put Firebug on the side of the
browser:

This is pretty useful from a development standpoint because most
modern displays are now emphasizing widescreen aspect ratios.  There's
generally a lot more room to play with on the side of a browser than
their is at the bottom.

Currently in Firebug this means detaching the FB window and moving it
side-by-side.  That's got a few caveats, however.  The main one being
that the FB window doesn't come to the top when the corresponding
browser window is selected.

So I'm curious if there's any possibility of adding this is as a
future preference.
