I meant to say thanks for the reply sooner, but things got a bit busy as usual. I hadn't even thought of opening my XUL document in a tab, and it's so obvious! That works perfectly though, but there are some differences in behavior between a tab and a window which I need to debug, but that shouldn't be too difficult.
