Firefox has been my main browser on my machine (WindowsXP Professional) for years.
Months ago I installed Firebug and it worked great. Since then I obviously installed something (don't know what) or changed something on my machine because when I tried Firebug recently it didn't work anymore. Several times I have tried to uninstall and re-install Firebug, no change. Firebug just doesn't work on this machine anymore and I have no idea why. Here are the symptoms I am seeing: 1) Firebug sub menu is not opening In the Tools menu I see the 'Firebug' menu entry and it has the > indicator for a submenu showing but when I hover over that menu item or click on it nothing happens. The Firebug sub menu just doesn't show. 2) Even if I open Firebug up it doesn't show anything I have a Firebug icon on my tool bar. When I click that then the Firebug window actually opens. However it is empty. Other than the menu items 'File', 'View', 'Help' (and their sub menues) there is nothing in that window. It doesn't show any of the normal Firebug displays (as I see them on another machine on which Firebug is working just fine).
