The cover page at getfirebug.com/downloads is out of date. The latest
versions are always available via http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug.

A few months ago most of getfirebug.com was converted to use a content
management system (CMS). Unfortunately I don't know how to use it so I
can't update the pages.

Our two download sites are https://addons.mozilla.org for final
releases and https://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug for alpha/beta
releases. Both sites have secure login and are closely monitored; both
uses SSL (https) and both have secure updates.
