Ok. I did as you said, reinstalled the latest alpha of Firebug and it worked. I even went and reinstalled the other add-ons that I was using with Firefox (Ad Block Plus, Xmarks, and Colorzilla) and things are "back to normal". I still get random errors in the console due to Xmarks, but that has been happening for a long time. All of the functionality of Firebug that I had before is back. Thanks. I don't know how I would be able to do my job without Firebug.
