I have an email address (on a few pages) testing how to encrypt the address. I have two instances of using javascript and one using Character Entities. There is no visible email address in the source code. But if I display the email address element in Firebug 1.5.4, it displays the full address in the mailto in the code. Does this mean that the email address is not safe from spambots? Or is Firebug showing me the effect of the encoding and not what spambots will see? Any suggestions for making an email address encrypt securely?
