Hi,
Firebug seems to have stopped working on my Wintel computer running Windows XP Pro x64 SP3, Firefox 3.6.8, and Firebug 1.5.4. Here are the symptoms. The plug-in seems to install properly, and the bug icon shows up in the status bar. The icon, however, is all gray, not the colorful little critter I see on other systems. Left-clicking on the bug icon has no effect, but right-clicking brings up the context menu. Selecting a toggle option, like firebug.menu.Enable All Panels, has no discernible effect. Selecting "Open Firebug in New Window" works, sort of. A new window opens, but it only has Console and HTML tabs. When I close this window and go back to the original, left-clicking on the bug suddenly has an effect. It opens the bottom Firebug pane, only the pane has no tabs at all. I'm obviously in the Console tab, because I do see the >>> on the bottom for immediate input and the pause button in the upper left. Opening and closing the bottom pane repeatedly does not change this behavior. I'm lost as to what can be causing this. I have the Add-on Collector plug-in installed on my system, and it synchronizes with the other systems I use. Firebug works great on my home computer (a 32-bit Wintel XP Pro) and my laptop (a white MacBook), so I don't think the problem is with other plug-ins. Just to be sure, I set up a new Firefox profile and installed only Firebug. One or two other things, like something to do with Microsoft's .Net framework, also installed, but I did not initiate any installs but Firebug's. Despite this, I got the exact same behavior with the new profile as with the old. There's probably something simple that I'm overlooking, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Firebug-almost-dead-on-this-system-%28FF-3.6.8%2C-Win-XP-Pro-x64%2C-FB1.5.4%29-tp29356363p29356363.html Sent from the FireBug mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
