No, there are no plans to fix this issue, because we have no idea that such a problem exists and we have no way to investigate it. Two things you can try: 1) Install Firebug 1.6a19, http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.6X 2) Install Firebug in a new Firefox profile 3) Both #1 and #2. If you try #3 and still have a problem, and you still have a problem then you can open a bug report. If you can't find steps to reproduce the problem, you can start by tracing your Firebug with ERRORS and listing the operations that you find slow.
