Firebug Lite's source has a BSD license; You can use it and modify as you wish. "Firebug" name is a registered trademark. We want the name to represent the work of the Firebug Working Group. If you ship Firebug as we create it you can reference our trademark. If you want to use the name in a product which alters the code, please contact us to discuss it. Also note that we are interested in patches.
