Howdy,
I upgraded to Firebug 1.6 this morning, and suddenly found myself
unable to select a range of text using the usual keystroke combo of
CTRL + Shift + {arrow_key}. So far, this hasn't affected standard
<textarea /> fields, but it hampers typing into any field that has the
"contenteditable" attribute enabled. This includes both Gmail and
Facebook, so I'm finding this quote an annoyance...
I disabled Firebug momentarily, and suddenly had no problems
performing the usual keystroke again. So this confirms the oddity is
certainly with Firebug.
I'm running Firefox 3.6.12, using Windows 7 64-bit.
