The only report I recall about issues involving Firebug and Scriptish
are on Firefox 4.0.

You don't even have to click to disable Firebug for sites you don't
want to debug. Firebug is disabled by default.

Firefox 4.0 does not support Javascript debugging and has lots of
other problems:

I suggest you use FF3.6 for now.
